  • Crackdown 2 Review 1 CommentsPosted by Craig Baker on July 30, 2010 under Feature, Xbox 360 Reviews
Crackdown puts you right back into the same environment you played in Realtime Worlds’ original hit released in 2007. The game takes place ten years later and this time you are fighting on two fronts. If you enjoyed the original game and didn’t want to see anything change in the sequel then prepare to be happy as a pig in shit because nothing has changed, but for me this is one of the major pr... more.
  • Fishdom 2 [PC] 1 CommentsPosted by kiffar on under Feature, PC Reviews, Recent News
Fishdom 2 comes to you from the lovely people of Playrix who have also put out Royal Envoy which you may recall me doing a review and James doing the preview for awhile back. Playrix is kind of known for their basic yet entertaining titles with vibrant colors and music. They have a sort of friendly feel to their games which is a nice change of pace for when I get bored of sniping heads off and des... more.
  • Mini Review – Limbo 0 CommentsPosted by James Ireland on July 29, 2010 under Feature, Xbox 360 Reviews
Get lost in Limbo! Dark, gritty and an art style that could only be described as the end product if Tim Burton and a 1920’s film maker were to copulate, Playdead’s Limbo XBLA puzzle plat former is one heck of a game. Clocking in at around 3-5 hours completion time, this game has so much charm and unique character that it’s worth every penny of your 1200 Microsoft points. Limbo is one of the... more.
  • The Signal DLC Review 0 CommentsPosted by Craig Baker on July 27, 2010 under Feature, Xbox 360 Reviews
Today Remedy Games have released the first DLC for Alan Wake. The Signal is a epilogue to the main story of the 2010 hit game. The add-on starts off like every other episode of Alan Wake by showing us what previously happened, ending with the famous quote “It’s not a lake. It’s an ocean!” And it is as we soon discover just how deep and creepy this ocean gets. The Signal has been priced ... more.
  • Hydro Thunder Hurricane Review 1 CommentsPosted by James Ireland on July 26, 2010 under Feature, Xbox 360 Reviews
As part of the Xbox summer season launch, one of the major announced titles was that the legendary arcade title Hydro Thunder was to get a brand new reboot with HD gloss and a totally new roster of tracks, vehicles and an online component to boot. This news sent shockwaves around well, me! Hydro Thunder was one of the most underrated games released and whilst it never gained massive notoriety, it... more.
  • Demolition Simulator Review 0 CommentsPosted by David Breach on under Feature, PC Reviews
Inside all of us, there’s that little bit (ok, in some of us, quite a large bit) that likes to watch things explode; or even better, make things explode. We want to cause mayhem; we want to set things on fire; we want to make things go boom. Over the years, games developers have slowly cottoned on to this, and our consoles and PCs have been more and more graced with blessed destruction. As time ... more.
  • Lumi Review 1 CommentsPosted by James Ireland on under Feature, Xbox 360 Reviews
If you ever thought that Microsoft’s console was lacking some invention and some charm then you only need to look on the indie platform to find developers covering that gap that Microsoft have clearly not taken a massive shine to. Kydos Studios latest game Lumi, combines beautiful hand drawn visuals, colourful and relaxing game play, coupled with a physics based control system that is both chall... more.

Spike Games first game has finally been released on Xbox Live Arcade and PSN. Of course I am talking about Deadliest Warrior the game based on the hit American television show of the same title. On the television show every week two different warriors from history enter into simulated battle and then at the end of each show the battle is re-enacted. The game features the original eight warriors fr... more.

  • Singularity Review 0 CommentsPosted by Craig Baker on under Feature, PS3 Reviews, Xbox 360 Reviews
Singularity is the latest first person shooter to come out of Raven studios. Raven studios were the developer of the 2000 hit Soldier of Fortune. They have also brought us such games as Quake 4, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and last year’s not so well received Wolfenstein. Singularity is a fun game that doesn’t take itself too seriously. The campaign is a decent length lasting about 8-10 hours... more.

Today we’re looking at the IceCrypt T2200 HD Freeview Box. Our endeavour to find a Freeview alternative to Sky started when BskyB delivered their new EPG for their HD box, needless to say it is shit and ghastly at the same time. So on further inspection Freeview, Freesat and other digital content producers are finally catching up with both its features and signal reliability. The Icecrypt T2200... more.
  • Planet Minigolf Review 4 CommentsPosted by James Ireland on July 10, 2010 under Feature, PS3 Reviews
Let’s face it, professional golf is about as fun as sticking cocktail sticks into your japseye. How do I know that? Let’s not go there, but let’s just assume that watching the PGA tour isn’t that much fun. What is fun though is turning golf on it’s head downsizing it onto a putting area and throwing away pretty much all of the rule book apart from score. My friends what we are talking ab... more.
  • Joe Danger Review 1 CommentsPosted by Alan Baxter on July 6, 2010 under Feature, PS3 Reviews
Every once in a while, a true gem of a game comes along (often unexpectedly) and reminds us why we love to play video games so much. Joe Danger is undoubtedly one of these games. Developed by the incredible Hello Games who consist of only 4 friends working together to “create games that will put a stoopid grin on your face” Joe Danger is the company’s debut title and can be found exclusively... more.

  • Pirate’s Treasure iPhone Review 0 CommentsPosted by Tom McKeating on July 1, 2010 under iPhone Reviews
Pirates are all the rage lately, films like Pirates of The Caribbean have glamorised the lifestyle choice. Personally the idea of sailing the seven seas, pilfering and plundering sounds good – but the lack of hygiene and high chance of scurvy is a big draw back. For those like me, Pirates Treasure offers the Pirating experience scaled down into a handy package without the odour and dental diseas... more.
