  • Key to Playstation Move’s success: Online 1 CommentsPosted by James Ireland on March 11, 2010 under Editorial, Feature
Key to Playstation Move’s success: Online I’m sure many will agree with me who watched the GDC Sony conference last night that I couldn’t help but feel slightly underwhelmed. In fact some of the tech that was shown off at E3 2009 got me more excited but since the Wii Motion Plus is now in full circulation, it kind of took the hype off of Move a little bit. As for Sony’s decision to call i... more.

  • Blur Multiplayer Preview 0 CommentsPosted by James Ireland on March 10, 2010 under Feature, Previews
There’s nothing blurry about it Many a journalist has been sceptical with Bizarre Creation’s Blur. Mainly because their teaser trailers have been a tad underwhelming and that there was a little stigma over Activision last year over some of their business practices. I had heard nothing personally remotely exciting about Blur. I just had it down for being nothing more than Wipeout but with cars... more.
  • Toy Soldiers – Xbox LIVE Arcade Review 2 CommentsPosted by James Ireland on under Feature, Xbox 360 Reviews
War doesn’t have to be violent When I was a child I didn’t play with army figures and I didn’t re-act famous war battles. I didn’t play with Barbie either but that didn’t stop me turning out batting for the other side and wearing a dress or two. In fact, my childhood was actually all about Wacky Races, Tom & Jerry and the Atari ST. I grew up on the likes of Stunt Car Racer and Impos... more.

  • Striker Pro Soccer Simulator Review 1 CommentsPosted by James Ireland on March 9, 2010 under Feature
If real footballers trained on this, they’d all be shit. When Michael Tonge suffered a long standing injury years ago, he was tipped has being one of England’s next greatest starlets in International Football. Instead, he came back and dropped down to be a sub-par Championship footballer. I have a feeling I know why, he must have done his physiotherapy on Striker Pro Soccer Simulator. [c... more.

  • Motor Heat – Xbox 360 Indie Games Review 0 CommentsPosted by James Ireland on under Feature, Xbox Indie Games
If speed kills, then i'm game. One of my favorite games of all time has to be Enduro Racer for the Master System. The game is truly epic, even if after several levels you are repeating the same process over again to beat the clock into progressing further. Then another game I loved was the original Burnout for the PS2. The against the clock nature of the game, left you on knife edge and unfortuna... more.
  • Euston, We Have A Problem 1 CommentsPosted by James Ireland on March 8, 2010 under Editorial, Feature
Euston, we have a problem There was a two pronged reason as to why myself, and Stephen Joell-Ireland were going to London. Firstly it was Steve’s birthday on Monday and I had stupidly forgotten to book the day off work, so to make it up to him, I promised him we’d go and see a show in the West End. Steve is a little bit of a theatre whore and I must confess I do like to wallow in the camp fan... more.

The killer has no originality I have had a very mixed bag with point and click adventure titles. From the frustratingly annoying Wallace & Gromit, to the endearing but brutally difficult Pirates of Vooju Island. That's without even delving into the four disc marathon that was X-Files or the original Monkey Island series. Whilst the games do have a place in my heart, the cliches are becoming s... more.
  • FIFA 10 Ultimate Team: Buggy as Hell! 2 CommentsPosted by James Ireland on March 4, 2010 under Feature
That's an hour of my life I'll never get back As we know last year FIFA Ultimate Team's release was quite frankly, a PR disaster. Worse still was the fact that the game was 800 Microsoft points and barely worked for a week. This time round on the surface the game appeared smooth and without faults, however with extensive play from its own community. FIFA 10: Ultimate Team is full of bugs and anno... more.
  • 5 Reasons why Halo: Reach Will Teabag MW2 Online 29 CommentsPosted by James Ireland on March 3, 2010 under Editorial, Feature
With the launch of the Halo: Reach multiplayer trailer the hype wagon has truly stepped into a new gear. I think many will agree that the trailer gave us what we were looking for and heaps more. So, Halo's biggest rival is without doubt Modern Warfare  2. Here are five reasons why MW2 players may see their lobbies a little depleted upon the beta and release date. Reason 1: Community We all ... more.
  • Halo Reach Multiplayer Gameplay Trailer! 1 CommentsPosted by James Ireland on under Feature, Trailers
It's here and what a trailer this is! Halo Reach is setting up to be one of the games of the year without question. New gameplay modes including jetpacks and a gun that can shoot through walls is just the tip of the iceberg. For Halo fans this is the true follow on for the series unlike ODST. Halo Reach looks utterly awesome and is the first game this year that has gone us truly excited. Roll on B... more.
  • Top 5 Hardware/Software Failures Of The Decade 10 CommentsPosted by James Ireland on March 2, 2010 under Editorial, Feature
Top 5 hardware/software failures of the last decade {1999-2009} 5. Xbox Live - Holiday Blues In 2008 Xbox Live during the holiday season was about as useable as a second hand condom. In fact the service was so bad for people that Microsoft by way of apology offered Xbox Live users the deep sea diving Undertow which at that time was probably the least wanted game on the service. Thanks Micros... more.
  • FAT PS3 Bug Now Fixed 0 CommentsPosted by James Ireland on March 1, 2010 under Feature
Although Sony have yet to officially announce. Our unit here after being disconnected from a power source & standby for a few hours has randomly started working. Funnily enough none of our PS3 friends are online, so unless we have somehow fixed the bug by complete accident. I'm not sure, but we can confirm that everything is working here and our model was the 40gigabyte FAT PS3. If anyone wish... more.
  • Do Sony Hate Fat People Too? 6 CommentsPosted by James Ireland on under Editorial, Video
Do Sony also hate fat people? Far fetched? Perhaps, however you do have to wonder why the PS3 error only happened on the system early adopters who shelled out their hard earned coin for, happened to drop under a bizarre system clock error. Here is our funny take on the issue that has affected PSN users worldwide, with our very own Editor: James Ireland Sony, we love your product and yes, we like ... more.
