After around a day of down time on the iTunes appstore, Tweetie 2.0 has been updated and the official Twitter app for iPhone has been released.
The update is near enough visually identical to Tweetie 2.0, which isnt a bad thing, with only small aesthetic differences such as the search function and the retweet ability.
Tweetie, which cost £1.79 and $2.99 in the UK and U.S stores, is now free under the re-branding which aims to make twitter widely recognised and easier to find for iPhone users. The app is widely expected to reach #1 on the most downloaded apps chart in the next few days – with iPhone users that utilise different clients downloading and trying out the “Official” app.
