Gears of War 3 Officially Announced!

It was only a matter of time until the last game of what is set to be an epic trilogy (pun intended) was officially announced, and a news feed on US Xbox 360s today confirmed that Gears of War 3 will be released in April 2011. Check out the picture below for proof:

The first Gears of War is my favourite ever game due to the insanely fun online times I experienced and the friends I met on there, but Gears of War 2 was possibly my biggest gaming disappointment to date, and therefore I’m excited but apprehensive at the same time for Gears of War 3. Epic Games recently updated their Unreal 3 Games Engine which can now produce gorgeous foliage effects so expect to see the rumours of jungle and underwater gameplay come true.
