I think FIFA is better looking when looking over the whole pitch (Tele camera) But for close-ups PES is better.

your comment on the live season is kinda wrong, its not allready on the disc as it is a weekly update of various data so EA has no way of putting it on the disc unless there can time travel lol, good review

Nice review. I’m a little sceptical of the fact you only mention a few negatives though. I’ve played the game solidly for the past few days and some of the annoyances with FIFA 09 are creeping back. Defensively, it’s still very frustrating; the player switching still leaves a lot desired, the GKs still don’t rush out when you hold triangle and often players take a few seconds to react to runs by the opposition. Don’t get me wrong the attacking side of the game is perfect, it is incredibly free opening up endless possibilities when going forward, but the game is let down heavily by the poor defensive side. The AI still presses you too much on WC difficulty and they get away with murder when tackling you. Furthermore, aside from a lot of kits being very poorly represented, the general presentation of FIFA is still below par. The menus are incredibly frustrating to navigate, and the gameplay itself is still plagued with cutscenes e.g. Scoring and celebrating on the left side of the pitch yet your player celebrates in the middle? How about the fact Messi and Ibrahimovich (insert other names here) are exactly the same height when celebrating in the cutscene? The substitution cutscene of the ground? The white ball when it’s snowing? How about the endless bugs in the Manager Mode and in online play? The series still has a long way to go in my eyes.
p.s. I am a neutral before anyone assumes I’m a PES fanboy or such like.

I agree with Matt, since reviewing this title. We’ve uncovered some big flaws with manager mode, including commentary flaws and such. Our score will be re-graded to 9/10
